ECDL

Ecdl training courses have been established for a number of years now, and ECDL has become a widely recognised qualification in the workplace. This ECDL training course can be purchased as either a full set of modules, or individual modules can be purchased as time allows.

Office 2010 Information Technology Skills Suite (mapped to the ECDL Syllabus 5)

Following the ECDL syllabus (version 5 – Office 2010 / Windows 7), this course consists of 7 modules which cover the basics of computing, various popular software packages and the internet and e-mail. The learner, once the course has been successfully completed, will be able to understand key concepts in IT including security issues, use a computer to organise files and folders, use word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and database applications, and use the internet and email.

Office 2007 Information Technology Skills Suite (mapped to the ECDL Syllabus 5)

Following the ECDL syllabus (version 5 – Office 2007 / Windows Vista), this course consists of 7 modules which cover the basics of computing, various popular software packages and the internet and e-mail. The learner, once the course has been successfully completed, will be able to understand key concepts in IT including security issues, use a computer to organise files and folders, use word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and database applications, and use the internet and email.

 Office 2010 Unit 8 – Improving Productivity Using IT Skills (mapped to the ECDL Syllabus 5)

Areas covered include:

  • Planning, selecting  and using IT systems
  • Reviewing on-going use of IT
  • Developing solutions to improve productivity

This module is part of the UK ECDL Syllabus 5 course that completely maps to the requirements of The National Occupational Standards (NOS).

 Office 2010 Unit 7 – Using Email and the Internet (mapped to the ECDL Syllabus 5)

Areas covered include:

  • Navigating the Web – using a web browser and hyperlinks
  • Searching the Web – using a search engine, saving and printing search results, downloading files, using help
  • Using Favourites – creating and organisation favourites
  • Customising Web Browser – setting a start page, changing a display mode, modifying browser settings, internet security
